Who is it for?
Thailand is a great destination for couples and families of all ages, including multigenerational family groups. It is also the ideal destination for a solo traveller; either totally independent or as part of a small group tour.
When should we go?
The best time to visit Thailand is during the cool dry season between November and March with temperatures between 26 – 32 C rising higher in March. It gets really hot from March to May before hitting the wet season which lasts until October. If you don’t mind dodging the showers May to August is a quieter time to visit – and a top time for surfing…
Pricey?
Spending money is always important and the good news is that a weekly budget of £100-150 per person will get you through quite comfortably. All major credit cards are accepted in most places but it’s always advisable to take some cash (baht) for smaller places, markets and tipping.
Top tip - Respect for Thai currency is important as it bears the image of the king and the royal family is revered in Thailand. It’s always good to know before you go…
